Photos from John Milner's workshops

A visitor to this website offered me scans of some photos he took in the late 1980's in John Milner's workshops, as he collected some pre-machined parts for his Hunslet. These are of a completed, Milner built Hunslet, also a bare chassis under construction. There is a wealth of defail here, including some differences from the drawings (no prizes for finding them..)

An interesting feature of the model is the dummy displacement lubricator. This is a prominent feature of the prototypes in quarry days, and I like it so much that my locomotive will have to have one !! When I get round to doing it, I will put drawings on this site.
